- 4 years of experience producing technical documentation for a technical audience.
- 3 years of experience working with build, deployment, and monitoring technologies (e.g., CI/CD, DevOps, monitoring and logging industry tools).
- Experience working with HTML or markdown.
- Familiarity with command line scripting and API calls.
- Ability to navigate ambiguity, support multiple projects and stakeholders, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills and ability to take initiative.
About The Job: Are you passionate about translating complex technical concepts into clear, user-friendly content? As a Technical Writer for the Google Cloud Application Ecosystem (AppEco), you’ll be at the forefront of shaping the educational experience for users of cutting-edge technology.
In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with software development, product, and cross-functional teams to produce and curate content for AppEco products, including Cloud Operations and Foundation Services. From conceptual documentation to tutorials and quick starts, you’ll be instrumental in helping users achieve their technology and business goals.
- Write technical documentation for developers and operators on Google Cloud Platform, covering concept documents, how-to guides, and API reference documents.
- Design and organize documentation sets for new features.
- Rewrite and reorganize existing documentation to enhance the customer experience.
- Edit, clarify, and proofread documents while coaching non-writers on ways to improve their writing skills.
