Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year
Responsibilities
As a Long Haul Truck Driver, your key responsibilities will include:
- Demonstrating mountain driving expertise
- Upholding professionalism in customer service
- Driving as part of a two-person team or convoy
- Loading and unloading goods
- Operating and driving straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials
- Overseeing the condition of the vehicle and inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment
- Performing brake adjustments
- Handling emergency roadside repairs
- Conducting pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections, overseeing all aspects of the vehicle
- Performing preventive maintenance
- Receiving and relaying information to central dispatch
- Recording cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption
- Ensuring the safety and security of cargo, including tarping
- Holding an AZ class license
