Tasks and Responsibilities:
- Liaise with the Montreal Fire Department (SIM) or other local authorities as appropriate.
- Assess the extent of the impact of disasters.
- Define the resources (human and material) required to meet the needs of disaster victims and communicate them to the person in charge.
- Supervise Red Cross intervention teams on-site.
- Inform the person in charge of progress and evaluate service provision to disaster victims.
- Ensure compliance, provide coaching, and offer constant feedback to Red Cross response teams in line with national disaster assistance standards.
- Lead operational briefing sessions.
- Drive the intervention vehicle dedicated to disaster services.
- Be available for deployment to support local emergency operations, particularly in the preparation phase.
- Be available during emergency operations in the country.
- Hold a college diploma in leisure, ambulance, police, human sciences, or equivalent.
- Experience in the field of civil security and emergency response.
- Experience in group facilitation.
- Voluntary environment work experience is an asset.
- Knowledge and practical experience with computer tools, particularly the Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong writing skills.
- Hold a valid class 5 and/or 4A and/or 4B driving license.
